Budget Nursery

Description

Budget Nursery: Designing a nursery under $850.

Design Inspiration

I used Pinterest and Project Nursery to help inspire me. Once I found certain elements that I liked, I then mixed and matched the elements together.

Decorating Style

I like a mix of modern and traditional. I love finding things on Craigslist and turning other people's "trash" into my "treasure".

Favorite Items

The wall stripes are my favorite thing in the room. After {painfully} painting the stripes I didn't want to hang a lot of decorations to cover them...they're just so pretty!

Advice

Don't be scared to find furniture from Craigslist or garage sales. The crib should be bought new/meeting all safety tests, but you can save a lot of money when purchasing gently used items and transforming them to fit your nursery. Save pictures {or "pin"} of nurseries you love and find ways to recreate the look with thrifty finds!

Love it love how the room reflects God! very UNIQUE very similar to want I would like to do in our nursery but with different colors :).....! After all God gets all the credit for all! God Bless!

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Psalms 127:3

I love Caleb's nursery! You did a great job on the stripes. I did vertical stripes and that took some time....but that looks like it really took a lot of time. I also love the bible verses and the canvas you did above the crib. Your friend did a beautiful job on the bedding and love the colors. I think the curtains would look good if you took some orange grosgrain ribbon and sewed all the way around....about two inches from the edge. (Just an idea.) God bless your new family!

Yami,

Thanks Yami! I used Word {wordart} for the framed prints...no fancy pants needed =) And, I used spray pant and stencils on the large canvas.
