Braden’s Jungle Room

Description

I wanted our son's room to be PERFECT! He deserved it after spending the first 7 months of his life in an almost 100 year old farm house in the dining room! I picked a bright, vibrant blue and used jungle animals as our theme. My favorite part of his room are the decals.

Design Inspiration

I based the room color from the "Zoofari" nursery set by Lambs & Ivy and I knew that I wanted to do a jungle/safari theme for our little one.

Decorating Style

I don't decorate all at once, I add pieces as I find them until it's complete. I really do my research, I love to shop at Etsy and collect things as I see them. I do not like modern decorating for my home, I like to keep it simple!

Project Details

Paint is matched exactly to the blue from the bedding set which Home Hardware did for us. The last thing I did in the room was to add the giraffe and monkey decals from seller smileywalls on Etsy. Very easy to apply and very good quality. I also got the letters for above the crib on Etsy from seller JarrettCreations but this could very easily be a DIY project for MUCH cheaper and faster - it took her over 3 months to complete the letters. If you have a crib set and want matching accessories, ones you didn't even know existed, check out eBay! That's where my mom got the birth announcement and name picture for the room. The animals above the crib are from eChildren and I have gotten a lot of little things like picture frames from Babies R Us.

Favorite Items

The decals, by far - the decals! I love all his stuffed animals and how his crib looks so cozy too.

Advice

This room was very easy to do! When you go with a jungle theme...there are tons of accessories for your child's room - almost too many, so tempting to buy every jungle item I saw at first!
