Boy’s Toddler Bedroom

Description

Chase's Toddler Bedroom

Design Inspiration

I wanted to make my son's transition from nursery to "Big Boy" bedroom as comfortable as possible.  So I decorated his new room with all of his favorite things (Pirates, Baseball, Curious George & Reading).

With his nursery I had used pastel colors, so for this bedroom I wanted to incorporate bolder colors.  I love the combination of the Navy Blue and Lime Green.

Project Details

The drapes in this room are actually shower curtains from Target.  I wanted the drapes to be able to pull to just one side.

A lot of items I had found at antique shows (the trunk beside bed, wooden ships and toy box).

The majority of the picture frames were just old frames I had around the house.  I just bought a couple of cans of spray paint to give them some new life.

His name that is spelled out on the shelf use to hang above his crib.  The letters I had gotten at JoAnn's a few years ago, and again I spray painted them to make them pop.

The box on his night stand I had found at Hobby Lobby and I stenciled on the "READ" with a black sharpie.

I used book jackets from my son's favorite stories as artwork.

The "Dream Big Little One" print that hangs above his bed is from my Etsy Shop

Hi, nice room! Was wondering where you got the bed frame from as I am shopping for one.

Thanks! SK
