Blue for a Girl

Description

One of my favorite colors is pink but when I found out I was having a girl I refused to decorate her nursery in the typical "girly" colors. I ended up adding some pink but we went with a lot of blues and greens for a calming effect. As always the nursery is a work in progress because I continue to find more ideas to make it better. We're currently working on a name decal for the wall.

Design Inspiration

I love the Brooke Bedding from Pottery Barn and had my eye on it even before I was pregnant. The minute I found out I was having a girl I went out and purchased the entire set. We built the color scheme around the bedding.

Decorating Style

Modern yet still classic. Clean lines

Favorite Items

The tree decal is my favorite. We get so many compliments and questions about it.

Advice

Mix and match from different stores. Not everything has to be from a children's store or be an actual nursery item.

I love the blue paint!!  It is very calming and I am thinking of doing the same for my little girl's nursery.  What brand did you use?

I like that you chose blue as the main color and the tree on the wall looks great!
