I am super excited for Ben's 1st birthday party!
We are having his party at the zoo!
I will definitely post all of the pictures from the party...but I thought I would share a bit of the inspiration and theme I am going for. Since the party is at the zoo...I am thinking zoo/carnival theme. and, a lot of color!! The adorable stripey straws and tissue garland are from shop sweet lulu...I am a bit obsessed with this shop and my husband is wondering why I am getting packages from shop sweet lulu every week! I love it!! The rainbow gumballs are from polka dot market.
I was happy to find these adorable (affordable) and perfect zoo invites from shutterfly!
cupcake liners and striped candy cups are also from shop sweet lulu!

happy sweet 1st birthday baby Ben!
we were so excited to celebrate Ben's birthday!! Ben was a miracle and born via surrogate...so we really wanted to celebrate him coming into our lives & turning one {still tear up over our little blessing}! Ben loves animals...so we decided to have his celebration at the zoo! It was a perfect day for the zoo and for all of our family & friends to celebrate with us! I made some other great friends planning this special occasion too! thank you to all of the amazing shops who helped make the party so great! 62cards created this amazing "happy birthday Ben" banner & other party goodies below! see other details below too!
Ben was a lion for halloween...I had to showcase my sweet little lion!

Ben looked adorable in his #1 birthday shirt from Piccadilly Circus Designs!
Ben's birthday cake was awesome! it was fun to design & Suzette at Sweet Cakes is so talented! I had her make the rainbow cake inside! I got the idea from one charming party & featured it on my blog because it makes me happy!

I handmade all of the menu cards...
the kids party table was filled with animal masks and adorable zoo coloring sheets from Nicola at Twisty Noodle...a website where you can create and print free coloring pages for kids! 62cards created all of the kids party hats!
the polka dot table cloths are from polka dot market!
mommy & Ben...we had so much fun!
Heather from chickabug was so sweet to rush Ben's water bottle labels!

we weren't allowed to have balloons at the zoo...so I ended up using paper lanterns to decorate. but my balloon wreath made it into the party! I got the idea from how does she? {love this site!} me & my mother-in-law had fun making the chocolate covered strawberries...{made with love}!
