Beckett’s Travel Themed Nursery

Description

A classic boy's room that would be sweet for a baby but also work for a toddler/young boy.

Design Inspiration

Have always loved mid-century modern furniture, and really loved the children's clothing and bedrooms when watching an episode of Mad Men.  We wanted to have elements of classic children's toys and furniture but add modern pieces for a more fun room.

Decorating Style

Modern, whimsical, comfortable

Favorite Items

I love the wall decals which really add life to the all-blue room - great for the baby to feel like he's staring at the sky while lying in his crib.

Advice

We started out just wanting to build around colors instead of a theme - and as we put the room together discovered we were buying lots of travel-items.  Looking back if we had started out with the travel vision we would have been able to have a lot more fun with it.  Really recommend picking a clear theme as it will be much easier to pick pieces and decor.
