Baby’s Robots

Description

We decided to do a robot theme for little Henry's nursery. The fabric is from Michael Miller's Bot Camp collection.

Design Inspiration

I found the robot fabric first and built the room around it.

Decorating Style

I'm usually drawn to modern and traditional combo rooms.  Nothing too far to either side.

Project Details

The color on the walls and dresser is Lake Blue by Valspar at Lowe's.  We got the fabric from The Fabric Bar and the robot prints are from John W. Golden's collection.  The white bookshelves are from Ikea.

Favorite Items

My favorite items are the robot prints.  They are so whimsical and fun for a baby's room but will grow with him as he gets older.

Advice

Search thrift stores and garage sales for small dressers.  You will likely find a solid wood peice for just a song.  The beadboard allowed us to use a darker color above without making the room feel moody.  Custom made linens are super easy to make and they really make the room feel unique.  Quilt stores are a great place to find last season's prints on sale.

Great work on this one.  I think I fell in love with the shade of blue you used here.

What fun fabric for the bedding. Always love to see handmade items in a nursery, so much more meaningful!
