Baby Phillip’s Nursery

Description

A classic, gender-neutral nursery featuring soft blues, greens, and cotton tail bunny toile bedding.

Design Inspiration

I wanted Phillip's room to be a beautiful and calming space that we would both enjoy being in.  When I found the cotton tail bunny toile fabric, I knew I had to use it!  I based the colors and feel of the room around the classic and whimsical vibe from that fabric.

Decorating Style

Traditional with a hint of french country.

Project Details

  • The bedding is designed by me and custom-made by Luv Stuff Baby Bedding (www.luvstuffbaby.com).
  • The paint is 'antique white' by Benjamin Moore (www.benjaminmoore.com)
  • The crib is the Posh Palette Spindle Crib in French White (http://www.poshtots.com/Baby-Furniture/Baby-Cribs/All-Baby-Cribs/Posh-Palette-Spindle-Crib-in-Choice-of-Color/18/2661/1313/24391/PoshProductDetail.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=prod&utm_content=froogle_24391&utm_campaign=froogle)
  • The glider and ottoman are Peyton by Best Chair (www.besthf.com)

Favorite Items

My favorite items are the bedding and the crib.

Advice

Find one great fabric that you love and pull colors from that to make the rest of the room.  You could really save a lot of money by purchasing an old jenny lind crib and painting it to get a similar traditional/vintage look.

I love how relaxing this room looks and it's very well designed that I feel that I really won't like to clutter the place up.

Hi there: I never thought that soft pastels would work in a boy's nursery, but it did work out fine here. Thanks for sharing your sources!
