Description
We do not know if we are having a boy or a girl. We wanted the nursery to be bright and fun. We also wanted it to have more of an eclectic feel and not a theme. It was important to us for the room to be colorful but having some of the main pieces remain neutral. Getting this space ready has been the highlight of my pregnancy.
Design Inspiration
I had bought a few pieces from Etsy, but was having a hard time putting it all together. We decided to have an eclectic nursery incorporating safari animals and fun pops of color. We just bought things we liked and found a way to pull it together with accessories.
Decorating Style
I have a very eclectic style. I like different styles but try not to be overly dominate in any one style.

The antique dresser I painted. It was my first attempt at painting furniture and I was happy how it turned out.
Advice
You do not have to do a theme. You can get pieces you like that are important to you and you can find a way to pull everything together.

How do you like the rug? I'm thinking about ordering it but I'm wondering what the texture is like?

I am SO jealous that you have the C&B Faulkner cabinet! That piece has been on my wish list for years, and now it's discontinued. :(

We bought the cabinet for my office a few years ago. We are limited in space so it is perfect for diapers etc.
