Travel-themed gender neutral nursery
My husband and I wanted a room that reflected our love for traveling. We hope to travel a lot with Harper.
Traditional elements mixed with modern touches and DIY pieces
Crib and fitted sheet, glass table lamps - Target
DIY - crib skirt, blue chevron fabric from www.fabric.com
refinished $40 campaign dresser In Benjamin Moore "kingswood gray"
DIY painted stripes in Benjamin Moore in "Woodlawn Blue" and white in Martha Stewart's "popcorn"
inside of closet painted in Martha Stewart's "haystack" with DIY shelves
DIY custom graphics for wall art using Adobe Photoshop and printed using www.shutterfly
book shelf with cubbies and book wall ledges from IKEA
Upholstered rocking chair from www.hayneedle.com
sisal rug with yellow fabric trim from www.rugsusa.com
"my Roots Lie Here" map from www.childreninspiredesign.com
The refinished campaign dresser. We purchased this piece for $40 and it was in really bad shape. We almost decided not to refinish it but when we did we saved a ton of money and now our daughter has a unique furniture piece in her room.
Try to find elements in the room that you can turn into a DIY project. I couldn't find just the right bedding set for Harper's crib so I used a fitted sheet from Target and combined it with a DIY crib skirt.
