Baby Girls Bird and Pastel Nursery

Description

Used pastel colors and bird accents to design our baby girl's nursery.

Design Inspiration

My inspiration for this room started with the bedding.  I wanted a simple theme and also wanted to be able to mix pastel colors to create a sophisticated and sweet baby girl room. My other inspiration was the bird trio prints above the crib. The ultimate theme for this room  ended up being a mix of Birds and Pastels.

Decorating Style

Simple, sweet and sophisticated with girly accents.

Favorite Items

The floor pillow ottoman pouf (I love the pattern) and the Bird Trio prints.  I also love the wall color we chose.  Even though we know we are having a baby girl, I did not want pink walls.  The color we choose is a light aqua blue and has a girly feel.  It makes the room feel warm and cozy and the little accents is what makes the room girly... in my eyes :)

Advice

I put a lot of thought into each and every item I purchased for the room.  Start with one item for inspiration and go from there.

Sarah,

The paint color is from Sherwin Williams and is called Buoyant Blue. We love how it turned out! We got the brand of Sherwin Williams paint called Harmony (specifically made for nursery and children's rooms).
