Description:
Budget - friendly nursery for my little girl. All furniture is second-hand. I painted/distressed the chest and changing table and added new knobs. The crib was purchased on craigslist! and looked brand new! The glider was purchased from a friend who selling it (included slipcover!). The rug was purchased new and so was the chandelier. I changed out the crystals and added the gold touch to the chandelier (got it on a clearance rack!). I made the bunny prints to go around the mirror and now sell them through my business - Libbie & Winston designs.
-
Design Inspiration:
Wanted something soft, calm, neutral and fun! The furniture and walls add to the neutral and calm feel and then the punch of pink in the ceiling creates the fun! My little girl LOVES to lay in her crib and stare up at the pom poms and the chandelier!
-
Decorating Style:
Budget-minded, simple, soft, neutral without being TOO neutral!

Favorite Items:
The changing table - it was a piece from my grandmother's house that I repainted and I love the shape! It works perfectly for a changing table and provides TONS of storage underneath. I also LOVE the pink ceiling. I had {obviously} wanted pink in the room once I found out we were having a girl, but didn't want to overdo it!
-
Advice:
Don't go buy everything brand new - find old pieces that you either aren't using or can get from consignment shops etc. Find things you were using around your house in other rooms that might work in your new nursery! Be fun and playful without over-the-top juvenile!
