Description
Having never had kids before, I didn't really know what I was doing when I went about designing a nautical nursery. I wanted something simple but cute! I will still add more to the nursery when the baby comes and we finalize his name. For now, I'm pretty happy with it!
Design Inspiration
I grew up in South Lake Tahoe and spent a lot of time on a boat. I wanted to bring a little of Lake Tahoe to Los Angeles. I hope that my little boy develops a love for the water and being on a boat!
Decorating Style
Simple, cute, and organized!
Project Details
I compiled all of the stuff for the nursery at different places. Some things I found at local shops, other things I found at places like TJ Maxx, Marshall's, and Pottery Barn Kids.
Favorite Items
I think my favorite thing is the little striped whale in the crib. It was a gift from my family.
Advice
Once you figure out what you want to do, start early and keep your eyes open wherever you go. I found cute things in the strangest places!
