Baby Ames Nursery

Description

Since we don't know the sex of the baby, we really wanted to stick with neutrals as the common denominator throughout the room. We incorporated splashes of colors and textures to add a kid-like flavor to the room. My favorite features in the room include the animal family canvases, the sheep mobile and the pillows.

Design Inspiration

My inspiration for the nursery was the color we chose for the walls. We chose "Backdrop" by Sherwin Williams. It's a great neutral color and we decided to incorporate loads of colors to add a little pop to the room. We chose white furniture bc we thought it would be a nice contrast to the color on the walls.

Decorating Style

My decorating style fits my personality. A little daring, vintage with a twist of color and patterns. I love incorporating a slice of humor.

Project Details

A few places I had luck in finding pieces in the nursery include Fawn & Forest, 2 Modern, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn Kids

Favorite Items

My favorite items in the nursery include the vintage blocks, the wall art in particular the animal prints with baby, mommy and daddy, the sheep mobile for the baby to count sheep.

Advice

If I have any advice to any readers is to really put things in the room that you love - it will come across in the design and will have a bit of personality!

LOVE your room, especially the "Stay calm &  carry on" artwork.  Super cute!

Nice choice of neutral, muted colors. Where did you get the vintage alphabet blocks? I really like them.

Really nice nursery. Love those vintage wooden blocks and those artworks on the wall. And the sheep mobile's a darling, too.
