We wanted a nursery that was completely unexpected - no chair rails, pastels, or animal themes. Something modern with feminine touches that will transition easily as our daughter grows . And no pink!
Design Inspiration:
The Serena and Lily Buddy Pillow inspired the room before we knew if we were having a boy or girl. I knew I wanted dark slate walls with white furniture and yellow as the primary accent. Once we knew it was a girl, I chose coral and aqua as secondary accents, and the dandelion curtains for a feminine touch.
I love the prints from Amanda Catherine Designs, but I feel the most sentiment towards the small wooden cradle that my grandfather built for me (for dolls) as well as the dress hanging on the closet door. It was the outfit revealed when we found out our baby was a girl!
Advice:
Look for the little items to add personality and don't be afraid to find inspiration outside of catalogs and showrooms, mix and match the things you love.

Seems like grey and yellow have been trending lately. Lovely room, by the way. And I am with you: No pink!
