Description

I wanted Ari's animal inspired nursery to have a calm and neutral vibe but not overly themed. I also wanted to incorporate some furniture and elements that could be long lasting and used in his room decor as he becomes a toddler.

Design Inspiration

My inspiration came from Sharon Montrose's Little Darlings collection. I loved the baby animals and the clean simplicity of her prints. I started with the prints and built the rest of the nursery around that theme. I also knew that I wanted a clean and simple nursery with a bold statement wall. The striped wall with a photo gallery seemed like the perfect fit.  Finally, I knew I wanted to a library of books for Ari and I wanted to be sure to find a way to incorporate the books into the decor of the nursery.

The framed photos on the gallery wall were my inspiration and are my favorite part of the room. The first time Ari looked at the photos I was so happy. I also love the shelves because my husband built them and they came out exactly as I had hoped.
