Arabella’s Pink and White Nursery

Description

After learning that we would be welcoming a baby girl into our family my husband set to work transforming our green bedroom into a pretty pink nursery. He added wainscoting and beautiful crown molding to the room and painted the walls a soft pink. After the walls were finished we brought in our white nursery furniture, added a pink rocking chair and set to decorating the room with pink and white accents!

Design Inspiration

We knew we wanted pink and white and we went from there.

Decorating Style

We wanted a soft feminine feel for the room.

Project Details

I had a difficult time finding wall décor that I loved, so with some Mod Podge and scrapbooking paper I made my own. The oval "A" and the footprint frame cost dollars to make and are some of my favorite touches. The circle mobile is another DIY touch. This was a little more painstaking to make but well worth it in the end. I found the tutorial for the mobile here. The rocking horse crib bumper and magazine rack are from Pottery Barn Kids. The pink rocking chair was found at Wal-mart online, and the ruffle curtains and crib sheets are from target.

Favorite Items

I love the footprint frame that I made for the wall. It was so easy to create and I will forever have that tiny foot on display!

Advice

Start with a color theme and go from there. If you can't find pieces that you love, don't settle! Either keep searching or make it yourself.
