For my son's one-year-old birthday, I threw a "One Year Old in a Flash" party with orange and blue color schemes.
Design Inspiration:
One Year Old in a Flash party from Elle Belle Creative (http://ellebelleblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/one-year-old-in-flash-first-birthday.html)
Decorating Style:
Bright orange and blue, sophiscated cuteness.
Project Details:
For the "One Year Old in a Flash" party, we hired a photographer to set up a photo booth in our living room to take cute pictures for our guests. I made the photo props including chalkboard thought bubbles and mustaches.
I also made the picture banners using my son's month 0-12 pictures. Another highlight of the party is the preparation of a time capsule for my son's 18-year-old birthday.
I made the cupcake stand with cardboard shipment boxes wrapped in orange paper table cloth found in Party City, decorated with little colorful triangle flags.
Favorite Items:
The cupcake stand
Advice:
Use lots of different print papers that have the colors of the party. It creates a fun, colorful but united atmosphere.

Zac is adorable. I think the theme is very appropriate and very true. One year indeed flies by so fast when it comes to our kids!
