An Epic Easter Egg Hunt

Description

A modern home with an amazing view of LA was the setting for this most eggscellent adventure. 25 children decorated their own baskets and filled them in an epic hunt. We went with carrot orange, green and white as our color scheme, and created a mod meets magical party. Guests were greeted by charming chevron bunnies on the front gate. The centerpieces were "gardens" in the middle of the table. They were not only beautiful, but useful, as we hid eggs in them! Parents could relax in the lounge area and take in the gorgeous surroundings as their kids gathered loot. Moss bunnies and a carrot/bunny banner added some whimsy to the kids table. Kids were able to snack on "rabbit food" to fuel up before the big event- organic carrots and hummus in mini flower pots, donut holes served in egg cartons and berry & yogurt parfaits were on the menu. Mini milk bottles had labels for kids to write their name on. Faux grass covered the buffet tables to bring the outdoors in.

Design Inspiration

The modernity of a white house mixed with the open grass lawn called for a clean look. But you gotta keep it appealing to kids too!

Decorating Style

A kids-friendly approach to modern.
