Allie’s Birdie Nursery

Description

When I found out I was having another girl, I knew I wanted to create a beautiful "girly" nursery. Opposite from my first born which was girly but not in the pink and pearls kinda way. I also did not want to spend a lot of money so I had fun with a few diy projects.

Design Inspiration

I found inspiration from things I would see on Pinterest and Etsy. For example, I saw this birdie mobile on Etsy, but it was out of my budget and luckily I have a very crafty mom and she recreated it for baby Allie. This mobile ended up being the color palette for the room.

Project Details

The crib was a hand me down from her sister which was from Pottery Barn Kids. The chair also a handy me down from Walmart.

Curtains, dresser, closet baskets, White "garden" table, gold frames, and shelves are from IKEA. The shelf hardware was spray painted gold.

Gold letters, "Hello Sweet Beautiful Girl" gold frame poster, and dresser knobs are from Hobby Lobby.

Curtain rods, mirror, gold side table, lamp shade and lamp base are from Target. Gold bird was painted on the lamp shade using a stencil and gold paint from Hobby Lobby.

Rug, white wire rack, and white wire bird frame is from HomeGoods.

Gold dots decal are from Etsy shop Allfourwalls.

Bedding is from Carousel Design.

The handmade felt birdie mobile was created by my mom that has an Etsy shop. She creates beautiful things like headbands, baby blankets and much more just message her! :)

Favorite Items

I have so many favorite items but I love the gold got wall, the small white table under the mirror (also a favorite) because it is meant to be a garden table so I went outside the box and it fit perfectly for that random wall. And of course the hand made felt birdie mobile.

Advice

Don't be afraid to shop around and get pieces from different stores and places. If you have a vision stick with it and trust that it will all come together!
