A Modern-Vintage Caden Lane Nursery

Description

A Modern Vintage inspired nursery, with pink, turquoise, and pops of purple.... it's perfect for a nursery, or a little girls room.

Design Inspiration

The Modern Vintage collection from Caden Lane! We had just introduced this collection when I found out I was having a little girl...and I knew immediately this was the bedding I was going to use in my nursery. My favorite store (personally) is Anthropologie... and I always thought this bedding looked like it should be gracing the shelves there!

Decorating Style

Whimsical and cute. I had to start with pink walls... but, i didn't want the entire room to feel like it pink, pink, PINK! So I used pops of purple and turquoise to accent with the decor - including a fabulous turquoise chandelier!

Project Details

The glider was covered in one of the fabrics from the bedding (i love accenting with different coordinating fabrics) and the turquoise curtains were from Target! Since I can't sew, I used stitch-whichery to add the Large Morrocan fabric to the bottom of the panels, and then hot glued the pom-pom trim to cover the seam. I received so many compliments on those curtains, and I think the total I spent on them was just about $50. Score!

Almost everything else in the nursery you can find online at www.nurserycouture.com

Advice

The tree was hand painted onto the walls, but this was before all these vinyl decals were available for the artisitly-challenged. :-) So take advantage of those, and then hot glue rhinestones & flowers to the stems of the tree to give it a 3D look. A little girls room can never have enough bling in it!

I'm kinda intrigued by that mural behind the day bed. What is it? Anyway, I like the room. So princess-y in colors. You can never go wrong with pink when it comes to little girls.

Always love your rooms and bedding! I think this is my favorite though. The pink bedding is to die for, and that chandelier with the turquoise crystals is perfecto!
