When I met with the family to design this room their little girl just had two requests: purple and ballerinas. Since the parents have a very contemporary european style we incorporated sophisticated furniture pieces with playful plays of pattern on the bedding and window treatments.
Design Inspiration:
The first fabric that we chose for the room was the Designer's Guild fabric for the windows. The tree design is modern yet whimsical. I particularly like the the fabric has some black in it to give it a bit of an edgier look.
Decorating Style:
This room has tall ceilings so we had some fun with paint and over-sized decals.
My favorite element of the room is the layering of the fabrics. We never repeated a pattern in this room and all fabrics are from different vendors but they all harmonize wonderfully.
