A punk rock nursery for a punk rock princess (on a budget!).
Design Inspiration:
I had the bedding custom made for me by the Rock'n Baby Boutique shop on Etsy and decided to design the room around it.
As for the pictures on the dresser, my husband is in the military and we live thousands of miles away from our family, so I wanted to have a little piece of them in my baby's room.
I majored in Geography and knew I wanted to incorporate a map into the room, so I made "The World Is Yours" poster (using lyrics from a Nas song, which used a quote from Scarface).
Decorating Style:
My style is pretty non-traditional. I have gotten a lot of negative feedback about putting skulls in a baby's room and using too much pink, but I don't care!

-I cut the skulls out of felt and glued them on the pink cubbies using fabric glue.
-"The Other F Word" Poster- I highly recommend this documentary for punk rock parents. (http://www.theotherfwordmovie.com/)
-Other random things, like the flag on the ceiling, the zebra rug, and the sugar skull piggy bank were gifts from friends.
-I took the pink cubbies to the paint shop to have them match it for the walls.
Favorite Items:
My favorite item is "The Other F Word" poster simply because I absolutely loved the documentary.
Advice:
Don't try too hard to mimic looks from other nurserys. Let the nursery be a reflection of your own style and you'll love it!

This room looks great but the bumpers and the pillow in the cot put your child at risk of SIDS. I know they look cute but baby doesn’t need them and risks suffocating to death in them. Just letting you know
