Baby Boy/Neutral Nursery

Description

Simple, custom, budget-friendly nursery.

Design Inspiration

After deciding on what colors I wanted to use, I found fabrics that I fell in love with.  The yellow and gray bird fabric most influenced what else I put in the room.

Decorating Style

Eclectic and budget friendly; simple.

Favorite Items

Such a toss up! I love the tree, book slings, and bird cage light.

Advice

Don't be afraid to try things yourself.  I  found things that I loved, but didn't love the prices, so I just tried to do them myself to save money.

This is the sweetest nursery!! What did you use for the blue ring on the mobile? Did you have a pattern for the felt birds hanging from it? I'd love to make one! Thanks!

gg4jc,

She used patterns she found online for the fitted sheets and changing table cover. We found a pattern at Joann's Fabrics that included the crib skirt and valance. She quilts a lot, so she had her own pattern for that. And the book slings are from the online tutorial I posted. She said everything she made was super easy!

My fave has got to be that Christopher Robin quote. It's meaningful and inspiration. That birdcage lamp is also very cute!

How did your Mom custom make all the bedding? My Mom sews as well, but would she need a pattern for this? I have a different color scheme for the nursery and have to order everything.
