  • Jasmin

Love the color scheme of your nursery. What gray did you use for the walls?

  • Ange

Love !!! It turned out amazing!! Looks like it belongs and a magazine! Jeff should be proud of his hard work! It’s amazing to see how well all your choices came together!!! Can I hire you both!! :) lots of love!!

  • Kelly

Obsessed with this room! It turned out amazing. Such an uncommon color scheme that just totally works!! Can’t wait to see the baby in it!

  • Lyndsay

What is the name/brand of the grey paint. In love with it.

  • Tiffany Fath

Wow- Love it!! It is really great inspiration for what I am trying to do in our nursery! Clean, not too ‘babyish’. Is your ottoman 18″ or 24″?

  • Joy

You did an amazing job on this nursery! I love it…so original and the colors are happy and serene at the same time!

  • Jillian

    Laur and Jeff -

  • Brandy

Love the nursery. I really like the curtains. Did I read that right…u painted them? Could u provide more details because I would like to do this for my little one’s nursery in navy. Thanks.

  • Laur.Durkin

Thanks for the compliments!! Teal Changing pad cover is from Littleowlsnest (etsy) in the aquamarine color. Gray paint is Behr Ultra Eggshell finish “Porpoise”. Ottoman is 24″. For the curtains, I googled “DIY Painted Curtains” and found a tutorial. I created my own pattern on white Target curtain panels and used blue painter’s tape and painted directly on the fabric. Warning, they are a little stiff, but hopefully will get less stiff as time goes on. Good luck!!

  • Sarah

This is soooo fun!! I love everything about it! I’m in the process of completing my 6 week olds nursery…yellow, gray, and teal :) His crib set is the yellow chevron…I still have a few things left to add and when I saw the ottoman I got so excited!!! I’ve been looking for one and have had no luck…but…I already looked on the etsy listing and she makes it in yellow!! Yippee!! Again…fantastic job!

    Laur.Durkin,

What color/brand is the spray paint you used for the curtains and the picture frames?

  • Shaina

Love the nursery! How did your husband attach the book shelves to the wall? My husband is really handy too and hoping to build something similar.

    Thanks1

love the “bubblelush” boutique closet aside from the chevron colors . great job

  • Laur.Durkin

The paint color that I used for the curtains and the frames was left over from the closet. It is Behr Paint “Jamaica Bay”. My husband pre-drilled holes in the shelves and then screwed them into studs and then covered the holes.

  • Aunt Jane

I love your nursery. It should be published in a magazine. I knew it would be
spectacular just like the two of you. Uncle Dave told me HE can’t wait until
baby Durkin arrives. This baby will be overwhelmed with all the love he will
be getting. Even your post picture is perfect. Love, Aunt Jane and Uncle Dave

Hi, Congratulations!! What an exciting time for everyone.
The room is beautiful – I love the colors – very different and unique.
To know you both worked on it makes it more special.

  • Erin T.

Love love love all the little details!!! Expecting my first June 3 and really love how you made it a room to grow into:) May have to “borrow” some of your accessory ideas! Thank you so much for sharing!

  • Katie

Love it!! Ours are very similar colors. I have to ask where you got your curtains??

  • Toni

One of my favorite nurseries I’ve seen yet.

  • Karen

This is so inspiring! I was wondering more about your closet organizer. Is this something your husband built or did you purchase a kit from somewhere? I just took the doors off my daughters closet and painted it fuschia. I would love to have a organizing system like that! Thanks for any help you have.

  • LilShannie29

My husband and I have the Full Circle bedding, as well, and couldn’t decide on a wall color. I absolutely am IN LOVE with the grey!

  • Laur.Durkin

My husband built the closet shelves from mdf and attached the moldings. We drew out what we wanted the closet to look like and he measured everything. You could buy an ourganizer system though, it would look similar!

I’m in love with our paint color, too. It really goes with the bedding.

Thanks again for all of the compliments!!

    Hello!

Do you remember what size ottoman you purchased? Was it the 24″?

  • Laur.Durkin

    Yes, it was the 24″.

  • Bonnie

How did you create the custom curtains?

    Laur.Durkin,

I’m so excited, because I was going to ask what grey you used for the walls, and then saw that it’s the same grey I already chose. Love, love, love this room!

  • Gretchen

    I love this!

  • Becky

How did you attach the glider part to the bottom of the chair? I have seen another person change their ikea chair but they bought a swivel rocker base so it doesn’t actually glide.
