Lime Green and Black Nursery

Description

A modern, baby boy's lime green, gray, black, and white nursery!

Design Inspiration

I fell in love with CoCaLo's Harlow {lime green and black} collection, but thought it was too girly, so I found similarly-colored fabric at Hobby Lobby that was more suitable for a boy. I love the contrast of the black and white, as I know those are the only colors babies can see for awhile!

Project Details

I had so much fun decorating my baby boy's nursery! Lots of inspiration from Pinterest, Etsy, and online blogs, but much of it was DIY! Here is a list of where I purchased items: {Bedding, Valance, & Changing Pad Cover}: Fabric from Hobby Lobby; made by Kelly at Sweet Dreams Custom Baby Bedding on Etsy | {Curtains}: Kohl's | {Lamp}: Target | {Wall Art}: DIY; frames from Kohl's | {Hat Rack}: Home Depot | {Mobile}: Target | {Glider & Ottoman}: Buy Buy Baby | {Tissue Balls}: DIY | {Dresser & Crib}: Davenport Collection at Buy Buy Baby | {Changing Table}: Walmart | {Bookshelves}: Husband DIY | {Totes}: DIY from diaper boxes | {Letters on Wall}: Michael's - painted by self | {Wire & Clips for Letters}: Ikea | {Picture Frames}: CoCaLo Harlow at Buy Buy Baby | {End Table}: Target | {Pillow}: Made by a friend with fabric from Hobby Lobby | {Toy Bag}: Gift from a friend and ordered from Etsy | {Wall}: Can't remember the exact paint color, but we alternated between Valspar flat and glossy paint to create the stripes. Start with flat; paint the entire wall with that finish. Then measure and mark the width of the stripes, apply painter's tape (we used a laser beam level), and paint on the glossy stripes!

Favorite Items

I love it all! But I really love the wall art above the changing table, bookshelves, and totes since they were all DIYers!

Advice

Search Etsy, Pinterest, and blogs for DIY instructions. Don't buy ridiculously high-priced wall art from Etsy. Make your own using Microsoft Word or Publisher!

Nice job with the Brantley letters. So cute. And I think this is the first time I have seen a black-and-white mobile. So modern and chic!
