- A Project For: London
- Age: 4 months
- Location: South Pasadena
-
Description:
We wanted to embrace the meaning of her name, London, with a contemporary edge. We also wanted a picnic in a park that encouraged a relaxed, family and couple friendly atmosphere.
-
Design Inspiration:
We already knew London was a girl, but we wanted to stay gender-neutral. The design inspiration was how a county-fair in a park in London would feel like.
-
Decorating Style:
A lot of color! London's nursery theme is based on Antonio Gaudi...that says it all. Our decorating style is eclectic and diverse. We like to combine and pair different travel experiences.
-
Project Details:
The invite and shower favors were all done at home, hand-done, on an inkjet printer. The shower monster doll prizes were hand-sewn (I made 12 of these!). These dolls also had their own identity with stories attached. It was a hit.
-
Favorite Items:
The invite. It was the first creation that started it all!

Advice:
Give yourself time, time, time. It took me a long while to cut and place stickers just for the tea cups. I spread out the production and didn't try to do it in a few days. I didn't have to plan to critically but made sure I did something everyday.
