Mark’s Playful Nursery

Description

Mark's playful nursery

Design Inspiration

A modern nursery that's fun, yet relaxing at the same time. Main colors are: orange, aqua, green and white. We wanted to use bright colors for the room to feel bright and full of light.

Decorating Style

I love all aspects of interior design. I wanted to use my hobby to create a nursery that our little guy will enjoy for years to come. It was important to us that the room and wall colors suit our son as he grows. My husband and I had a lot of fun turning the room into a nursery  (I can't take credit for the furniture assembly - hubby did all the hard work :)

Project Details

The crib, changing table, and dresser are by BabyMod

The bedding is by Zutano

The animal lamp on the dresser is from Diapers.com

The rocker/glider and ottoman are from Babies R Us

The paint is from Lowe's - low VOC

I custom ordered the name decal on Etsy, from SimpleShapes

The toy organizer and "tail" hooks are from Ikea

"The World is my Playground" picture is from Home Goods

The curtains are from BedBath&Beyond

The curtain rods (animals) were a gift from my Mother-in-law

Favorite Items

2 things:

1) Bookshelves - which aren't bookshelves at all, but picture ledges. I wanted our son to be able to access the books himself when he's old enough to crawl/walk up to them.

2) Name decal

Advice

Use your favorite colors and pick an inspiration piece(s). For me, I found the bedding and went from there.  You can get a lot of design ideas from this site and Etsy. Pick what appeals to you and you'll achieve the look you want.

The green, blue and white make the room look so bright and fresh! I like how you did "Mark Benjamin" on the wall.

Kiley,

Yes, overall I'm happy with the glidder. It's definitely on the smaller side, it's not super wide or deep. I was looking for a contemporary, smaller glider since the room is not that large. If you have the space, I recommend a larger glidder, but if your'e looking for compact, then this one is great.

Do you like your glidder? Comfort level?
