I laugh when I think back to the many times I answered the popular question, “Where do you see yourself in five years?” as I built a career in public relations. My responses were so far from my current truth—but that’s only because I never dreamed I’d find such a happy balance.

When our daughter Bauer was born, I struggled with the decision so many moms do and ultimately decided that for this season of life, my place is at home. Fast forward six months, and my love for babies and design led me to Project Nursery’s virtual doorstep.

On any given day, I get to be there for every bottle, but I also dream up new ideas for Project Nursery. I get to peek in on Bauer’s naps while on a conference call discussing the latest baby trends. As a home décor addict and new mom, I get to turn my passions into a career.

I’d like to thank my husband for supporting my journey from corporate publicist, to stay-at-home mom, to work-from-home mom. But mainly, I’d like to thank him for his patience as I constantly redesign and rearrange perfectly good rooms in our home. My current style is anything and everything from Restoration Hardware in white, off-white or gray. I secretly wish to be bold with color, and I’m counting on my Project Nursery colleagues to empower me.

On the weekends you’ll find me sitting shotgun in my husband’s golf cart with a baby on my lap and a mimosa in my hand.
