Mallory Fitzsimmons

I’m the type of person that is happiest when I’m busy, so when my sweet baby girl was born and I left my career in corporate retail, I secretly missed my on-the-go lifestyle. Joining the Project Nursery team has allowed me to reclaim some of that hustle and bustle, all while spending time with my gal and being there to witness her firsts. I consider myself one lucky mama.

I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl, I would sneak into my mother’s closet and try on her high heels—as soon as I found my balance, I was hooked, and that passion has woven its way through my life ever since. I was even able to build a career around fashion by getting my Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising and joining the corporate buying team for a major retailer.

It was when my husband and I moved into our first home that I discovered my second love: interior design. I think what you wear and how you design your home should make you happy and reflect your personality, but it doesn’t have to break the bank to be beautiful.

On any given day you can find me driving through Starbucks, scoping out my favorite local thrift stores, swinging in the park or attempting a new DIY—all with my DSLR on one shoulder and my oh-so-adorable baby girl on my hip.
