binnywich on Need some modern Birth Annoucements......suggestions?

Hi-I am having a really hard time finding some birth annoucements for my 3rd baby (a girl) online. I have been to Tiny Prints, Paper Culter and Pingg but everything is very pink and brown and the same.

And I would prefer something without a picture.

I actually converted some Kate Spade personal stationary for when my boys were born.

Any ideas? Her room is lavendar, gray, accent of peach and chevrons as a graphic element.

Any suggestions are welcome. I am open for anything online or anything to be found at Kates Paperie, Papyrus, etc. Or other independent sites.

This has been on my mind a lot, but I think that's normal for parents. How do you go about child-proofing or baby proofing your nursery? That is, without sacrificing the design or the theme you have in mind?

Hmmmn, I've never noticed that. But you are right, this room should be more child-proof. There are a lot of accidents just waiting to happen here :(

I think that this room is a disaster waiting to happen. All those ladders for little kids to climb up on and FALL from! Look at the toddler on the top of the bunker bed, it looks like she is about to fall!

Congratulate me and my husband :) We just found out today that we're going to be parents to a bundle of joy next year. This is after 7 years of being married and 4 years of TTC!

That's a brilliant idea that I could copy for a client :)

One client of mine wanted me to include functional storage spaces for her kids. So what I did was to have something similar to those toy boxes you see in stores. Two served as benches, another as a table. I then had it painted in the room's theme (Kangaroos, they were originally from Australia)

Having lived in small apartments all my life, I have grown to love functiional storage spaces. Thanks for this suggestion, I think that it's a good way to clear up space, as well as to keep your area tidy.

I'm a first time mom of a 9 month old baby girl. I'm currently on maternity leave and enjoying every minute I spend with my little one! I'm a graphic designer and have started a small business selling modern nursery art prints - so between naptimes and playtimes I'm working away! Right now our little one shares our room in our 1 bedroom apartment, so designing her 'nursery' (our bedroom) is challenging to say the least! I came across this website over a year ago when one of my friends commissioned me to design her babies nursery and I was looking for inspiration.

You could have avoided it if you had let your child choose the toys to donate. Or you could keep a toy that your child has not played in a while, and then if he or she does not look for it in a week or two, then that's how you know that he's not looking for it anymore.
