As a mom and designer living in New York City, I never cease to be amazed by how many decorative styles coexist in Manhattan alone. As a native of Italy, my own personal aesthetic combines the past and present, blending both ancient and modern elements; it’s part of my DNA. Vibrant colors are an essential part of the Mediterranean culture, so oranges, yellows and blues are the recurring palette of my imagination.
I am inspired by what I see throughout the world, particularly in European cultures, and so I reinterpret it here in New York City—my new and permanent home. I love innovative, modern Italian design, how the British are able to maintain their history and still manage to keep up with current trends, and the way soft, French lines and decor elements add a gentle touch to any room. Here in New York, I see the city as a blank canvas where I can apply all of these creative influences to design something truly unique.
Through My Tiny Nest, I have the opportunity to see a space transform into what parents-to-be dream of. It fills me with pride to watch their initial anxiety turn into unbridled excitement as they see the elements of their upcoming baby’s new home become a reality. We aim to provide parents with a product that reflects both their initial vision and the collaborative creative process with us. It is this collaboration that creates the best results and allows us to build lasting relationships to create room after room as families expand.
