Surprise Baby Shower

My Surprise Baby Shower!

Eight years ago, my dear friend Pam threw me a baby shower for my firstborn. She made a killer Chinese chicken salad, and we enjoyed manicures in her living room with family and close friends. I even remember a shower game of "celebrity baby" or two (think less North and more Apple). It was awesome, and it was way before Project Nursery came into our lives.

Fast-forward to today and I am expecting a little girl in a matter of weeks. The thought of a shower, a sprinkle or, in this case, a spritz...given that it's baby #3, I would have said, "Pam, save your energy." But alas, Team Project Nursery is family, and over the years, this family has been fortunate to forge wonderful partnerships with incredible brands in order to bring our readers the latest and greatest. It was only fitting to celebrate this baby with friends of Project Nursery in what my team calls #projectbabygirl and what I refer to as a completely insane surprise baby shower!

This puree is suitable for babies 5-6 months and up. At this stage, the consistency and texture of the puree should be smooth and creamy. Before combining foods, make sure your baby has tried each one individually first with no reaction to it. Always check the temperature of baby’s food before serving to make sure it’s not too warm.

DIY Cloud Shelf with Stars

On Cloud Nine

Every once in a while I surprise myself, and yesterday was one of those days! We just finished working on this gorgeous black, white and mint nursery, complete with tissue tassels, faux taxidermy and GOLD...and as I was installing the amazing black triangle decals (I also purchased the Gold Dot decals for Ashlyn's Coral and Gold Big Girl Room from the awesome UrbanWalls), I knew the wall needed something more. Enter that ADORABLE cloud shelf with the stars—I know, amazing, right? I didn't purchase it like that, and this nursery cloud decor was so easy to make that I just had to share it with my Project Nursery friends!

Stroller Footmuffs

Eli’s Picks for Stroller Footmuffs

Autumn is when you'll see New England (where I live) at its best—the leaves turn flaming orange, there are pumpkins everywhere and it's the perfect time of year for delicious hot mulled cider. But that wonderful, crisp chill in the air means you'll need more special gear for baby, and a great stroller footmuff is an absolute essential for the fall and winter seasons.

Think of a footmuff sort of like a sleeping bag designed to fit into your stroller seat and fasten around your baby so you can avoid the fuss of big snowsuits and multiple bulky layers. Most footmuffs are designed to be universal, so they work with most types of strollers.
