First of all I just want to say how excited I am to share with you all my first official decorating project as an interior designer. My co worker and friend gave me the honour of creating this stunning nursery for her two beautiful twin girls. Designing this nursery was a dream come true! During our initial consultation, my friend had asked for a pink, white and gold colour scheme with hints of florals. She wanted the room to have a girly feel to it without being overly girly (no frills). Gathering the decorative items for the room required some hunting at our local thrift stores as well as some DIY projects. Some of my favourite items in the room include; the rocking horse which was purchased on a buy and sell website, the flower mobiles which were hand made by myself and the “blocks” holder on the bookcase which was purchased at a thrift store, it was painted white and stenciled with gold lettering. You can’t help but feel happy when your standing in this room, its bright, light and beautiful! I hope this room inspires you to create your own beautiful spaces!
