Elle’s Hot Air Balloon First Birthday

Celebrating Elle’s first birthday was so much fun.  I thought it would be fun to make hot air balloons out of paper lanterns, they turned out so cute we have them hanging in Elle’s bedroom now.  We needed a spot for kids to get their picture taken, so I found a large balloon at Hobby Lobby and tied it to a basket.  Too bad Elle didn’t want to get inside!  I had the cake made at a bakery and I added a DIY little hot air balloon and candles. I believe fresh flowers are a must at any gathering!
Happy Birthday Elle!!

Little British Gentlemen Nursery

I planned this nursery for my son Henry.  I love London and everything British so I wanted to give this nursery a few touches that are a nod to the Brits.  I found a few fun things shopping at estate sales like the Paddington bears and little car prints on the wall next to the curtains.  I made the curtains from seersucker fashion fabric. So many of the little details where from many trips to Home Goods, not sure how I could live without that store!
It turned out to be a very cozy room perfect for my little gentlemen.
