I’m a relocated 30-year old Eastern European, married to a 45-year old American of Yugoslavian and Scottish ancestry (he loves it when this comes up), mommy to a beautiful 9-month old baby boy (despite all my prayers, hail-maries and offerings, he was born in February 2013; I tried real hard for a Leo girl…) and an anxious 5-year old red-haired golden retriever.

A Traveler’s Stop

For the longest time I had been mentally designing a baby girl’s nursery: vintage style, built around Franklin & Ben’s Mason furniture, with pale sage walls, lots of shabby chic wall art, antique mirrors and such. I was a bit demotivated when I had to shift my focus, but with a bit of effort I managed to pull it off.
