This is definitely to be filed under the what will they think of next category—a car seat that installs itself. Yes, we’re absolutey serious. In a world where a scary number of car seats are installed incorrectly by even the most well-meaning parents, will this be the ticket to getting a secure fit? We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s safe to say we are officially intrigued by 4moms’ newly announced car seat.
The base automatically levels and adjusts the tension and then monitors its own status while the carrier is connected and communicates via the 4moms app. You can check out all details on their site. Available in June 2016, the 4moms car seat carries a substantial price tag of $499.99, but they are offering a pre-order discount if ordered in January.

I used to have a Graco comfort sport forward facing for my youngest daughter. She outgrew that at 4 & now uses a Graco booster with the full back that is removable. I remove the headrest on her side so I can use the booster with the back on it. I like the fact that it has the part to put the seatbelt through so it's aligned properly on her. Also - depending on how long of trips you take with them, I bought a section of foam padding and cut it to the shape of the bottom of the booster and put it under the fabric cover. Makes the seat much more comfortable for her. She's 4 1/2 now for reference.
