Baby Will Love This Yummy Recipe, and You’ll Love That It’s No-Cook!

It’s summertime, and cherries are back in season! I absolutely love using sweet cherries in baby food. Not only do they add a sweet and slightly tart taste, but they’re loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. This cherry banana combo is yummy, healthy and no-cook—it takes only two minutes to prepare from start to finish!

This stage two baby food recipe is suitable for babies 7-9 months and up. Always make sure the consistency of your baby’s food is one he can handle. Before combining foods, make sure your baby has tried each one individually first with no reaction to it.

Cherry & Banana Baby Food Recipe

Cherry Banana Puree
(makes about 6 oz.)
Note: Use organic ingredients whenever possible.
1 large, ripe banana—peeled
1 cup fresh sweet (Bing) cherries—washed with pits removed

Place the banana and cherries into a food processor or blender, and pulse until a mushy-mash consistency is achieved. This consistency is a littler thicker than a completely smooth stage two meal, but any lumps are still soft.

Cherry Banana Puree can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator and up to three months in the freezer. Enjoy!
