Our very own Mallory Fitzsimmons, Buyer for The Project Nursery Shop, is continuing our Celebrity Maternity Style Series. We think you’ll be a fan of her fashion instincts and talent for trendspotting. You can also find her at her own blog Charming in Charlotte where she shares her own personal style, home decor posts and more.
Jessica Biel is the queen of the laid back, luxe and layered look. She always appears effortlessly put together in non-fussy layers, and her maternity style was no exception! She was able to combine maternity and non-maternity pieces for some casual looks that would make any pregnant mama look adorable.
Here, she took a very popular silhouette, the jumpsuit, and found a maternity option that she then paired with a boyfriend blazer and infinity to scarf to give her look some dimension. She also added in reflective aviators, patent loafers and a printed bag for more interest. It’s the perfect outfit for a casual dinner out or a day running errands.
Get the look with the same maternity jumpsuit from HATCH Collection that Jessica is wearing above. It’s such a versatile and comfortable piece—add layers if you’re pregnant in the fall, or wear it alone with strappy sandals and delicate jewels if you’re pregnant in the spring.
Another laid back look that we love is the dressy jogger pant, and Jessica made the adjustable waist work for her growing belly. Dressy joggers aren’t your average sweatpants—they’re made of crepe fabric that’s as flattering as it is comfortable. Dress them up with a heel or down with your favorite sandal. Here, she pairs them with a maternity tee and an opened chambray button down shirt.
Get a similar look with these dressy jogger pants from LOFT. Since they’re non-maternity, size up and put the adjustable waist to use to accommodate your growing bump. Add these pants to your closet for an easy piece to wear from the very beginning of pregnancy.
We love how Jessica layered a lightweight, open front cardigan over her adorable bump. This is such a great piece to transition between seasons and a great distraction if you don’t always want the belly front and center. She paired it with bright cords and printed flats to add interest.
We love this open front cardigan from Nordstrom because it’s long enough to wear with jeans or with leggings for a more casual look.
A big congrats to Jessica and hubby Justin Timberlake who welcomed their handsome son Silas a few weeks ago, and kudos to Jessica for making maternity style look easy and effortless.
