Color Inspiration: Finding the Perfect Palette

We are often asked, “How did you decide on the color schemes for the nurseries you have designed?” There are so many things that can inspire a color palette. We always listen to the types of colors that our clients want, but we also search for the perfect object to give us a little added color inspiration.

Our best advice is to hop on the internet, do a little research and find an object that has a color scheme you really love—this is one of the best ways to build your palette. There are several items that could spark inspiration for your color scheme. For example, rugs, pillows, artwork or even wallpaper are great places to start. We love to use our inspiration item in the room to pull it all together.

Here are a few rugs and the color schemes they inspired for us.
