Over here on the east coast, we’re excitedly welcoming spring and the pending promise of summer sunshine after a long winter. Can you blame us for being a little giddy over all things yellow? Pantone identified Lemon Zest as one of the spring 2013 colors, and we couldn’t agree more. From the minimal gestures to the bold ones, we love this appropriately named Pretty Web Sunshine Ground wallpaper from Spoonflower. One wall of this (or perhaps a ceiling covered in this) would create a fun point of departure for any space.

We would be remiss if we didn’t include a fun yellow light that both brightens the room with its form and its function. What could be more fun than Angelpoise’s Giant Yellow Floor Lamp? Originally commissioned for the Roald Dahl Museum, it’s often nicknamed after one of our favorite books by the author—The BFG.
