Party Reveal: Roaring 1920s Twins’ 1st Birthday Party

We couldn’t help but swoon over Layla Grayce co-founder Tiffany Harris and her husband Tom’s Great Gatsby-themed first birthday party for their twins, Kirra and Cole. A longtime admirer of all things art deco and 1920s, Tiffany dreamed of marking the memorable year with the twins in high style with friends and family getting in on the fashion and fun!

As you can see by the beautiful images captured by photographer Tonya Joy, the garden soiree was thoughtfully planned from start to finish with gorgeous aqua and salmon Art Deco-inspired decor, vintage-themed treats and even an old-fashioned barbershop quartet. This party gets us thinking how fun it would be to dress up in our best lace and pearls and do a little Charleston, but it was Kirra and Cole who stole the show in their custom-made outfits.

We asked Tiffany to share her favorite part of the party even though we knew it would be difficult to choose. She said, “The first birthday party hats are my favorite party detail. I had seen a photo of these elaborate hats on Pinterest but had no idea where to purchase them. I recruited my dear and talented friend Summer Wang to help recreate the look using items like pearls, jewels, feathers and glitter that I had seen in the original photo. I still can’t get over how amazing they turned out. What was even more of a shock is that the kids were so distracted by the guests staring at them and then the sugar rush from the cakes, that they kept the hats on the entire time!”

Let’s just say a roaring good time was had by all!

Such a lavish party! Amazing details, too. Did this take place in their own garden?

I just had to check the blog. It was held at The Doctors House Museum and Gazebo in Glendale, CA.

While The Great Gatsby theme is more for the mom than for the kids, everything is just awesome and the details are fabulous!
