Best Bump: Vannessa Minnillo Lachey’s Maternity Style

Vannessa Minnillo Lachey is yet another celebrity who welcomed a baby this fall. She looked glowing and gorgeous all summer long in her casual and chic maternity wardrobe. Her style is easygoing and simple, using layering pieces and accessories to add interest to her outfits.

I had a great black and white blouse that I found at H&M very similar to the one Vannessa is wearing in this picture. I wore it all the time while pregnant, and I still wear it now as a tunic. Pair it with black leggings or a skinny jean and you have an easy but sophisticated ensemble.

Get the look with this Free People boyfriend button down.

Instead of a classic black legging, you can pair your blouse with the night-out legging by Hatch Collection.

There is nothing more comfortable than a maxi dress when you are pregnant. Vanessa is sporting this absolutely adorable long-sleeved cotton dress by Ella Moss. The asymmetrical stripes are slimming, and a dress with sleeves is often hard to find!

Unfortunately, this great dress is no longer available, but you can achieve this look with a similar dress by Heather. Just make sure to size up since this is not a maternity style.

Vanessa’s casual, everyday look is made of basics that every pregnant mama should have in her wardrobe—a comfortable pair of jeans, be it skinny or flared, as well as some great layering tees or sweaters. She has paired her casual look with a fabulous monogrammed LV tote, but if that Louis isn’t in your budget, go for a more affordable carryall.

Gap’s skinny jeans are a fabulous fit, and the price can’t be beat.

Find a few comfortable sweaters to get you through the winter that will also transition nicely into spring. Doesn’t this maternity sweater from A Pea in the Pod look so cozy?

If you are looking for a classic tote, this bag by Rebecca Minkoff is perfect. The color is timeless and the styling is classic enough to stand the test of time.

I am not very “into” her style, but I love how she carried herself during her pregnancy and the way she looked. She was blooming and fit and you can really see how pregnancy suits her.

I noticed in these photos that she was into long-sleeved shirts and dresses. Did she wear something that didn’t cover her arms?

Yeah, you’re right. Vanessa loves the “covered up” look.

She was into maxi dresses, bold prints, and layered looks. But yes, Amber, she did appear in maternity clothes that showed her arms. Take this, for example: http://www.celebritybabyscoop.com/files/2012/09/120330M7_MINNILLO_B-GR_08-500×750.jpg

I can understand if she doesn’t like showing off her upper arms and either wore dresses with full sleeves or covered them with jackets or sweaters. She did have flabby upper arms during that time, which is normal for most pregnant women. http://www.celebritybabyscoop.com/files/2012/06/79803PCN_Lachey141-500×750.jpg
