Upholstered Bunk Beds

All kids love bunk beds because they are like sleeping in a fort. Kids and parents alike also love upholstered headboards because they are a soft resting place for little heads reading bedtime stories. Restoration Hardware Baby and Child has come up with the perfect, elegant combination of the two: the Chesterfield Upholstered Bunk Bed. It is beautiful and looks oh-so comfortable. Priced a $2499, I just wish you could customize the fabric.

Now if you like this concept but have a boy and want something with more of a masculine feel to it, Newport Cottages has the Ricki Bunk Bed, which you can customize with upholstered head and footboard panels with your own fabric.

I’m digging the modern orange bunk bed. But of course, if I had one like that, I’d totally chance the color. Red perhaps. Or maybe blue. Just not orange.

I so love that room in the first photo. What struck me more than the bed are those framed fashion designer sketches. I wonder who did those.
