Ceiling Medallions in the Nursery

Designing a nursery can be a daunting task—so many things to consider, so many surfaces to fill. One common surface that often gets neglected is the ceiling. Over the years, we’ve done everything from fully upholstered fabric ceilings to ceiling murals and everything in between. However, perhaps the most classic and simple way to spruce up your nursery ceiling is with a medallion.

This floral ceiling medallion is so lovely; with that gorgeous pink, sage and gold hand painting, it would be perfect in a vintage-inspired girl’s nursery.

We’re obsessing over this phenomenal brass ceiling medallion with branches by Lindsey Adelman. It’s just begging for a home in a rustic, nature-inspired nursery.

Medallions don’t have to be 3-dimensional. Even a little paint via a great stencil will add substantial drama and style. Pair with a sparkling crystal chandelier and your baby girl will never stop looking up!

Sneak Peak: We’re working on a fabulous nursery design right now for a little baby girl who is getting a ceiling medallion similar to the one below, hand painted in antique gold. We can’t wait to complete this one and share photos!
