Giveaway: Charlie Banana Eco-Diapering System

420

Like the idea of cloth diapers but terrified at the thought of life without disposables? How about a diaper that offers the best of both worlds? Charlie Banana is a new product that offers eco-friendliness and convenience all in one. They have just launched a diapering system that allows you to choose between washable or disposable inserts. A diaper with options!

The disposable insert is 100% biodegradable and I have personally touched and felt the diaper and reusable wipes and both are very well made and luxuriously soft any baby’s bum is sure to be happy. The creators of Charlie Banana products say, “We love cloth diapers for all their many benefits. After talking with many parents, we realized that they were still buying disposable diapers for certain occasions- traveling, dropping the kids at their in laws, etc. The 2 in 1 diaper is mainly a cloth diaper but the smart front panel allows you to slip in a disposable pad for those special occasions.”

Charlie Banana diapers can be used from newborn through potty training and the leg elastic can be adjusted as the baby grows. There are nearly 20 color and print options and are priced around $19 which includes 2 inserts. If you think about how much diapers cost these days you are not only helping save the planet but are also saving some dough too. You can purchase everything you need to get started with the Charlie Banana eco-diapering system at Babies-R-Us, Target and Amazon.

Win It & Be Featured On PN!! Who’s up for a little “dirty” work in our first ever eco-diaper challenge? Win this cool and hip eco-diapering system by visiting Charlie Banana and telling us what you think about this new product. We will send you an entire eco-diapering system to get up and running in exchange for reporting back to us on your experience with the product. Contest ends Friday, January 14th, 2011 at 11:59pm PST.

Hi, I am a subscriber. I would love to finally try cloth diapers! I have been really interested, since my daughter has been getting yeast rashes with her disposables, but there are so many options! But the idea of trying it is really exciting!

I’m a subscriber too :) I would love to try cloth diapers and the 2in1 system looks so easy, but since I can get a month’s worth of disposables for $32, my husband has been reluctant to let me try them. Winning them would certainly solve that problem!

I have been cloth diapering two children since November and have had a ton of leak issues but I refuse to give up. What attracts me to Charlie Banana is the fact that they are a one size diaper and can be used on my 8 month old AND my 23 month old. I also love the reviews that say they are great for containing leaks/messes. I have been afraid to try cloth diapers over night as I am in fear of the leaking (both my children are heavy wetters and I HAVE to change them every two hour during the day, if not sooner).

I am in love with the idea of being able to use disposable inserts for convenience (those long car rides to visit grandma, day outings, etc) and re-usable, washable inserts (I want to minimize my impact on the earth as much as possible!)! I can not say enough about these diapers I have 6 of the sized diapers in small and they are our go to diaper in our rotaion. My husband loves the snaps and I love how incredibly soft they are. I have never felt a diaper this soft before you just don’t get that with disposables or other cloth diapers I have used. I have not used the disposable inserts with these yet but would love to give them a try for out and about or on vacation. Not once have I had stinkies with this diaper either like some of my others. They save us money, look and feel great, and are so easy to use. I would love to win more of them or the one size option.

I have tried numerous cloth diapers and recently purchased a couple Charlie bananna one sizes and they are by far my favorite diapering system. They are versitle with the disposable inserts I used them while traveling and they were just as easy if not easier to use than disposables! I have washed them numerous time and they hold up gear in the was h, they still look brand new!

Okay, I’m BRAND new to cloth diapers. Just wrote my first post on them and waiting for some to show up in the mail (not Charlie Banan). I went on the CB website with a plan to come up with some witty comment on what they could maybe do better but it seems they have got it! down It’s like I went onto a million different websites just to learn what is on this one website. It’s like they covered all their bases, answer all questions and I don’t feel overwhelmed and confused with all the options. Can I say “it’s like” any more because it’s like PERFECT! :)

Wish I saw this brand before ordering my first starter pack!!! I want to try these diapers!!!

Wow! These look fantastic. As a soon to be first time Mom, I sometimes feel like I’m not qualified to make decisions about what will work, especially when I want to talk about doing something different. But these look reassuringly worth stepping out in faith on.
    Way to go Charlie Banana!

  • KatieC

I am just entering my second trimester, and am very intrigued by the thought of cloth diapering. I’m pretty sure I’ll be doing it, but I will be the first one of my family and friends to do it, which makes me a little nervous without the personal insider information. This package looks wonderful, and I’d love to win! :)

We’re due in early March with our first baby and are planning to cloth diaper. I was a little unsure of how to get my husband to come around to it and starting with these disposable inserts seems like a good compromise!

  • Callie

I have been exploring cloth options for #2 but hubby is reluctant. He might just join me when I show him these!

  • Magdalena

Charlie banana cloth diapers are amazing and have darling prints and vivid colors.

I am very happy that you can buy sized diapers or one size diapers. (Sized diapers are great if you have newborn ( use size Small ) One size is great for babies from 10IB up to 35 IB. – from my experience)

    - I think the idea of front pocket for insert is great – no bulk in front .
-You can use flushable inserts – f.ex gdiapers ( I haven’t seen charlie banana anywhere yet) with these or microfiber inserts.

I have to mention that I am impressed by this great idea of donating % from sales to” operation smile” It is very generous .

Good luck Charlie Banana!!! we already love you

  • Judy

Love these – I saw them for the first time last week in use. I would love to gift these to my daughter for her upcoming baby.

  • http://squirrelintheattic.etsy.com jennifer

I never even considered using cloth diapers until seeing this post. As soon as I did, I spent a couple hours reading the website and reviews at various retail places and now am convinced to do it! My gag-easy husband, who still believes our baby will come out potty trained, is now also completely on board (he was reading the site info over my shoulder the whole time). I have already registered for Charlie Banana diapers and am so excited to share the info with others. The greatest things to us about it are that it will save us $$ in the long run, it’s suppose to be super easy to use, and the presh colors they come in. Also, for my husband, that our child will most likely be potty trained at a much earlier age. :) Thanks for sharing!!!

  • Alisha L.

I would love chance to try the Charlie Banana Cloth Diapers. My son is 3 weeks old and although we are currently using disposable diapers I have a small stash of cloth diapers to start using soon. I’m big on trying all kinds of different brands to find out what works best for us and our baby boy. I’d be happy to review these diapers if I won :)

Lastly and most importantly. I am so excited to try these diapers out. We used a diaper service with our first, but I’m expecting and looking into cloth diapering on my own. Hubby is not entirely on board, but this system looks so easy to use that it might be an easy transition for him. I’m going to add a set to my wish list\registry for this kiddo ;)

  • Kate Edwards

I love what Charlie Banana has done. I have been searching for the right cloth diaper that lets me be eco friendly/economical, and lets my husband not have to scrape poo when it’s his time to change the diaper. Cloth disposables for at home when baby is with me. Disposables for on the go and for when hubby has the baby when I’m at work. LOVE IT! We need to win so I can finally prove to my husband that cloth diapers, Charlie Banana in particular, can work with our lifestyle while still saving the environment and our wallets!

  • http://clothdiapercontests.blogspot.com Lisa

I love this idea because it’s great for around the house (near the washing machine and diaper pail), or out on the go (where laundry is less accessible). It’s also versatile for husbands, babysitters, and daycares who may not be AS on board with cloth diapering. Terrific idea!

I think these diapers are a practical and environmentally friendly alternative to regular disposable diapers. I would like to use cloth diapers for my coming baby, but shudder at the idea of changing a stinky cloth diaper in public, and then having to carry it around! Charlie Banana’s two-in-one concept makes it easier for new mom’s to go green, and to help keep their newborns happy and healthy.

I would love to try these! They do sound like the best of both worlds of cloth vs. disposable. Very neat idea!

  • Cheyenne

Over 1600 diapers later, this is what I have been looking for!! I always struggled to buy cloth diapers with my first two kids, knowing I’d have to still buy disposables for travel, etc. And now with my darling newborn baby #3, the all-in-one is created! Hooray!!

Having been through a LOT of different CDing “systems”, I’ve yet to find the *perfect* solution! I’ve tried regular old prefolds and covers, fitteds and wool, pockets [FuzziBunz and BumGenius, mainly, but also several WAHM brands] and AIOs [BumGenius! and WAHM]. With another one due in just a few weeks, I’m actually in the market for a large stash–being able to review and try them before would be awesome! SO happy to see a Cloth Diaper giveaway!!!
