Sketched, Painted, & Printed So Lovely

Looking for something truly special to adorn your walls? Meet a few inspiring artists on our radar…

These custom graphite portraits are from an artist who has been featured at Postcrypt Art Gallery at Columbia University and 80 Washington Square East Gallery in downtown Manhattan. Megan Winchell Peter captures the sparkle in her subject’s eyes and the energy of the moment. Her attention to detail is absolutely spectacular!

Perhaps it’s her full  house in the Carolinas (including three children, her husband Brian, a yellow lab, turtle, and bunny!) that inspires Kelly Rightsell’s original art for children. We’d also like to think her European travels and art degree had something to do with her beautiful paintings. Offering stationary, gifts, and rugs, Kelly B. Rightsell Designs‘s one of a kind paintings and prints carry a very innocent quality.

The adorable Sea Urchin Studios offers these playful prints via Etsy. When it comes to nurseries, the alphabet never goes out of style and decorating is as easy as ABC! Did we mention each print is individually signed and dated by the artist?

I have long wanted to get a graphite family portrait, I just didn't know of anybody who would do it. She seems really talented.

Adrienne, I absolutely love the sketch! Great addition to a nursery, or even any room in the house!

Really nice portraits by Megan. In case you want another alternative to graphite portraits you can check out www.babyjives.com - graphite portraits done in a style similar to old master sketches.

Have you seen Stinkerpants Designs? She makes really great prints for kids rooms (I have my eye on the Wish Tree) and also does cute custom drawings.
