After spending the better part of the 4th of July weekend at the beach, I could not help but have girl swimsuit envy. I’m not talking about those high school girls in their tiny bikinis, I’m talking about the mommy envy of being able to dress up a little girl in adorable swimsuits and coverups. I love my little boy but little girls are so much more fun to dress.
Since I used to own my own children’s store, I have discriminating tastes on children’s clothing and am always searching for cute new brands for my little son to wear. This includes swimwear. If you are bored with the look of Gap, Target, Gymboree and are looking for a boutique line with a little more surfer edge I’d like to introduce you to Haiden Surf. Haiden Surf was started a few years ago by two surfer-girl-turned-moms in Southern California. Their boys swim trunks “boardies” combine bold animal prints, plaids, stripes, polka dots, and tie-dye patterns and range from infant size to size 7.
As a bonus to Project Nursery readers, Haiden Surf will be giving away a free pair of flip flops, actually the Haiden Surf girls like to call them “slaps“, with the purchase of a pair of swim trunks this week. While checking out, just mention Project Nursery in the “comments” section of checkout and note the size of flip flop that you would like. Sizes range from 3/4 up to 12/13. Happy shopping!
