Join Us At Sophie’s Book Club!

Children’s designer Jayneoni Moore, aka Boom Boom Room is at it again. She’s raising awareness and stressing the importance of early childhood reading by encouraging parents to read to their kids all summer long. The launch of “Sophie’s Book Club” is taking place at the fun-loving kiddie inspired bookstore, Storyopolis. Families are invited to come by to support Los Angeles pre-school and kindergarten aged children in need on Sunday, July 11th from 2pm – 5pm. Purchase a new book from Storyopolis to share your love of reading with a child. Some of our favorite celebrities will be standing by to wrap your donations.  If you are unable to attend or live out of state and still want to purchase books to donate, call Storyopolis directly (818.990.7600) to make your donation. Your name will be featured on the event’s book giving tree.

Kids in attendance will enjoy an array of fun activities: Celebrity read a-louds, delicious sweets, a spectacular bubble show, arts and crafts, very special character guests and special gift bags for guests who donate over 3 books! Project Nursery will be on hand to provide design tips on ways you can best showcase the books in your child’s room. It’s our belief that if your books are properly displayed, your kids will always want to read them! We hope to see you there.

Help us spread the word and let’s tweet! @sophiesbookclub

Can't wait to see pictures! We're too far from LA to attend, Illinois :( Do you know what celebs will be there?

We went to an event similar to this and my kids still talk about it. My mother-in-law was visiting and my oldest told her "I'll pick the book this time, because I'm in a book club!"
