Funky Fresh Toddler Transition

Comments 8

The transition from baby to toddler room can be an overwhelming task.  It seems as if I was designing my son’s nursery yesterday.  I may be a little ahead of myself, but with his 2nd birthday approaching quickly I thought this was the perfect time to start the “toddler transition” design process.  I thought I would share some of the inspiration for his big boy room plus a few other fabulous finds I came across.

For paint ideas with a girls room I would go with a more organic feel and use a latte color for the walls and accent with a pop of color or wall detail. For a boy, I would opt for a little more intensity and possibly incorporate the grassy green. In both cases, the artwork has a lot of character and color so using an overall neutral and then adding a band of an accent color around the top of the room would be super cute too!!

I love, love, love this color scheme and am going to do my son’s room like this (he’ll be 2 in March). However, we’re moving him to a twin size bed. I love the transportation bedding, but it only comes in a toddler size. Any suggestions for bedding in that size and color scheme? Is the comforter from Target too – the link takes you to their main site.

The transportation sheets are toddler size but I thought about using the pillow case and then doing some DIY projects with the fabric to accommodate twin sized bedding (possibly an inset on a comforter or window treatments) the print is too cute to pass up. The orange comforter is from Target…I just purchased one that is similar from Sears that is the perfect color orange. It comes in down or down alternative and was less than $30!! Hope this helps (:

My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform. I have heard very good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
